Sekar Ayu Advianty began her career in corn refining industry when she joined Tereos FKS as Government Relations/External Affairs staff. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Regional and Urban Planning from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, she previously worked at a number of government institutions, such as Bappenas and Ministry of Transportation, as well as private institutions, such as Alam Sutera Group , as Strategic Permit Compliance staff.This enables her to see matters from both the government’s and private institutions’ perspectives and helps her perform her current role in the association. Her experience with various parties is also an advantage in managing the administration of the association, preparing and distributing meeting minutes, arranging internal/external meetings with relevant ministries/institutions, and managing correspondences with external parties; all of which are parts of her responsibility as Secretary. Vian hopes that the government and relevant external parties shows more interest in corn refining industry. She also hopes that corn will no longer only known as a source of protein, but as raw materials required by corn refining industry. This is crucial as the sustainability of the industry largely depends on the availability of raw materials. “Therefore, I hope we could get government’s support in this industry, so that we will be able to fulfill national demand. To achieve the vision, I’m ready to introduce P3JI to the stakeholders.”

Having been involved in corn refining industry since 2007, Yoke Novitasari was appointed as Director of Tereos FKS Factory, Cilegon, in August 2017, following her 4-year career in the company.
Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Institut Teknologi Bandung and a Master’s Degree in Management from Universitas Brawijaya, her experience in this industry has led to her appointment as Vice Chairperson II – Product Development of P3JI.
Yoke lends her experience and competence in Industrial Hygiene Design, Food Safety, and Quality Product Audit to the association by providing technical considerations and solutions for matters relating to corn processing and quality improvement.
Her enthusiasm in learning new things beyond her job scope, which once fast-launched her career from Junior Supervisor to Manager in 2011, will be her approach in fulfilling the duties entrusted to her in P3JI.

Established in 2014 PT Tereos FKS Indonesia out of a joint venture between Tereos Group and FKS Group, Tereos FKS Indonesia (link to website) is the pioneer of the corn refining industry in Indonesia. In 2017, the company invested an additional USD 100 million to develop its corn refining industry.
Tereos FKS has an integrated facility in Cigading port, Cilegon, that can produce various high-quality corn starch derivative products, which can be used as raw materials in industries such as food & beverages, animal feed, textile, adhesive, and others, with production capacity of up to 1,300 tons of corns daily.
Tereos FKS employs more than 500 staffs, 99% of which are local people.
Maya Devi has been working in the corn refining industry since March 2015 as Sales and Marketing Director of PT Tereos FKS Indonesia. She graduated from Food Technology Department of Universitas Pelita Harapan in 2008 and has worked for 6 years in the field when she was appointed by Tereos FKS and Miwon to be one of the founding members of P3JI. Her position as chairperson of P3JI carries a lot of responsibility, which includes making decision in various areas—from management to administration and development function—and controlling and organizing different aspects of the association. She is committed to contributing her time, energy, and ideas toward the advancement of P3JI.
“Corn refining industry is relatively new in Indonesia. However, it has enormous potentials for development and therefore requires the support of the government. I would like to actively participate in representing Indonesian companies to communicate with the government and society,” she said, explaining her decision to be involved as a committee member in P3JI.
One of her achievements is the contribution of P3JI in the issuance of Corn Starch SNI (Indonesian National Standard) by the government in 2018,.
A step that will further protect the national food quality.
Maya hopes that in the future P3JI continues to grow, both in numbers of members and in its capacity in supporting the interest of corn refining industry.
The involvement of I Wayan Mariadi in corn refining industry began when the company he has been serving since 1990–PT Miwon Indonesia—started to engage in the corn refining industry and appointed him as one of the team members in charge of investment licensing. With Bachelor of Laws from Universitas Indonesia, I Wayan Mariadi was tasked to ensure that Miwon adheres to all procedures and requirements to embark upon the new business, as well as understand the relevant regulations in the procurement of imported corn raw materials.
I Wayan Mariadi became a committee member of P3JI when PT Miwon Indonesia appointed him to represent the company. As Vice Chairperson I, his duty is to build communication and collaboration between P3JI and the government and society. With this position, he hopes to contribute to the industry by establishing P3JI as a forum that protects the interest of all members, particularly in common fundamental issues that are important to the continuity of the industry.
He is optimistic that the corn refining industry will gain support, guarantee, and assurance from the government in the form of policies, particularly in relation to the procurement of imported corn raw materials and other facilities that will improve the competitiveness of domestic products.
